Susan Eskinazi |

Susan Eskinazi qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and established the firm of Eskinazi and Co in January 1998. Susan is a specialist in the law relating to children, both private and public law. She obtained a Diploma in Child Protection at Kings College, London in 1994 and became a member of the Law Society Children Panel in 1995. In addition Susan is an accredited specialist with Resolution in the areas of private children's law and child abduction and is a member of Re-Unite, the charity for abducted children. She is also a member of the Pro-Bono Panel of Lawyers for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. In the past Susan undertook extensive work in the field of domestic violence and was a Trustee of Barnet Women's Refuge. Susan has been involved in a number of high profile cases including when she represented six infant plaintiffs in judicially reviewing the London Borough of Barnet in their decision to close Kingswood, their special needs nursery situated in Finchley. It was the first challenge of its type under the Children Act.
In the well known case of the Internet twins, Susan represented the twins’ birth father in America following the twins’ mother having sold the children over the Internet to an English couple. Until recently Susan was a Trustee of Childline sitting on various of their committees.

Katy Rensten |

Katy is an experienced family law practitioner. She has practiced (both pre and post qualification) since 1990 in all areas of family law, more recently specialising in public children law and adoption where she acts for parents, relatives and children. From 1996 to 2004, Katy developed and headed up the family law department of Levenes, where she was a partner until 2004. She left to become a freelance practitioner joining Eskinazi & Co in 2006. She currently continues her freelance advocacy practice whilst undertaking a number of cases (primarily for children) in her role as Consultant at Eskinazi & Co. She is a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel, the Children Panel and a trained (but non practising) mediator. Katy is also a Solicitor-Advocate with higher rights of audience in the Civil Courts. She is currently a member of the Law Society children law sub committee and of the Family Justice Council’s Diversity Sub Committee. Katy also acts in a supervisory role for the legal service provided by Camden Women’s Aid. |

Christina Theodorou |

Christina Theodorou is a family lawyer who qualified in 1998. Christina is of Greek Cypriot origin and can speak Greek. She is an experienced solicitor specialising in family law, ancillary relief and divorce, in addition she specialises in representing parents in private children matters and all other disputes between parents. Christina has substantial experience in domestic violence and injunctions as well as advising on cohabitation rights, civil partnerships and child abduction cases. Christina also has expertise in private client work, namely in the preparation of wills and probate. Christina is a member of Resolution and the Specialist Family Law Panel of the Law Society. She is a tough negotiator who obtains good and fair results for her clients. She has trained as a collaborative lawyer and is committed wherever possible to helping clients to resolve their differences through negotiated settlements. Christina has a wide client base which includes serving the needs of the Greek community. She gives talks on family law including the giving of radio interviews. She was also a very active member of the management committee of Westminster Womens Aid for several years on a voluntary basis conducting AGM and meetings within the organisation. |
